What is LSVT BIG® technique and why/how is it different from other PT programs for Parkinson’s.

LSVT BIG® is a research-based exercise approach developed from the principles on Parkinson’s speech specific program LSVT LOUD®. LSVT BIG® treatment trains for amplitude (bigger movements), drives for high intensity and repetitive practice and teaches the amount of effort needed for normal movements. LSVT BIG ® treatment consists of 16 sessions: 4 consecutive days a week for 4 weeks. Sessions are individual for 1 hour and include daily homework practice and carry over exercise.
