Nicholas Drago, PT, DPT
PT School and Year Graduated:
University of Hartford, class of 2016
Certifications and professional accomplishments:
During my time in school I took specialized coursework focused on the management of orthopedic pathologies as well as utilizing Pilates and current stabilization strategies to improve muscular coordination. Research focus was aimed at the creation of new balance testing procedures and the accuracy of current tests used in the field. I also spent time researching balance and stabilization analysis in high level athletes that participate in sports involving running or throwing activates.
What do you like most about being a PT?
My favorite part of being a Physical Therapist is getting to know my patients. Whether they’re learning from me or I’m the one learning from them, we work together as a team to achieve their goals. Nothing makes me happier than hearing a patient tell me they feel 100% better and ready to return to whatever activity they prefer whether it be sports, getting back to work, or playing with their grandchildren.
Something personal:
Most of my free time is spent surrounded by family and friends. My interests include various outdoor activities such as dog training, hiking, hunting, and snowboarding. I also enjoy watching and discussing professional sports including but not limited to football, hockey, and baseball.
