Our Mission is Your Recovery!
In 1990, Jeff Ostrowski, PT and Joe Ruhl, PT the founders of Excel, had a simple goal - help people return to life’s activities. Their passion worked. Patients and physicians recognized the value of the Excel approach. The practice grew. Jeff’s and Joe’s vision of a customer service oriented, hands-on approach to care attracted like-minded physical therapists (PT) to join the team. In Excel clinics today, you will find dedicated PTs providing progressive, hands-on therapy in a friendly environment – just like Jeff and Joe did back in 1990.
Excel Physical Therapy is owned and operated by Physical Therapists.
In 2011, Excel Physical Therapy and Apex Physical Therapy merged, forming the largest PT owned practice in the Delaware Valley. The strengths of both practices were adopted and a new practice was formed. The corporate identity is E&A Therapy, but you will not find any therapy clinics with that name. We’ve maintained the brand names of Apex and Excel Physical Therapy because those are the names that patients and physicians have come to trust. Your confidence in us is important. You can expect to receive the same quality therapy in all E&A clinics.
Passion - Passion is when you put more energy into something than is required to do it. It is more than just enthusiasm or excitement; passion is ambition that is materialized into action to put as much heart, mind, body and soul into something as is possible.
Integrity - The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles, which leads to trust and inspires confidence.
Excellence – The relentless pursuit of quality and leadership in all we do.
Accountability - The obligation of an individual or organization to account for its activities, to accept responsibility for them. Doing what you are supposed to do.
Convenience. Care. Comprehensive Services.
Our goal is to get you back to what you enjoy doing without limitations – a complete, 100% recovery. Our PTs help you move beyond your current injury so you can take your health, sports performance and fitness to a higher level.
We see all new patients within 24 – 48 hours of when you first call. In fact, many appointments are available on the same day. Best of all, you’ll receive one-on-one care and you’ll stay with the same PT throughout your treatment. We do not use PT Aides.
We offer flexible hours including early morning and evening appointments. Saturday hours are available at most clinics.
We accept all major insurance carriers:
- Amerihealth Administrators
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Health America
- Independence Administrators
- Keystone Health Plan East
- Personal Choice

If you do not see your insurance listed above or you have questions about your benefits, call our Billing Office at 610-270-0370 and speak with a member of our team. We are here to help you!
Your therapist for life!
We are here for you every step of the way, even after treatment has ended. Our physical therapists understand the importance of education. They will teach you what caused your condition and how to prevent it from recurring. You are encouraged to contact your PT at any time, even after you have reached your goals. Our therapist’s mentality is to be your therapist for life.
Direct Access - getting the PT care you need now – without a prescription.
You no longer need to see a physician first in order to receive physical therapy services thanks to a law known as Direct Access (DA). Find out how you can get started with therapy today, by calling any one of our locations.
