Sarah holds the position of Vice President of Marketing and Referral Relations for Excel Physical Therapy and Fitness. Before this position, Sarah worked as the Clinic Manager for Excel's aquatic clinic when she joined the company in December, 2004. In 2006, Sarah treated patients at Cigna in Center City Philadelphia and assumed the position of a Marketing Representative for three clinics, until her promotion to VP of Marketing and Referral Relations in October, 2006.
Sarah graduated fifth in her class in 1989 from Atlantic County Community College as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). In 1996, Sarah graduated Summa Cum Laude, and second in her class, from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Her educational affiliation was completed at McGee Rehab, where she worked with brain injured patients.
Sarah became a Certified Aquatic Specialist in 2005 and has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 1999. Sarah has taken numerous continuing education classes during her career. In addition, Sarah is proficient with the Bad Ragaz Ring Method, a therapy that uses water currents for increasing range of motion. She has enjoyed being a guest lecturer at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey on many occasions and has written several industry articles.
Some of her work history includes five years at the Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation in New Jersey, where she gained experience in acute care, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient physical therapy where she specialized in neurological conditions, including stroke and spinal cord injury. While at Bacharach she was the Team Leader for the Brain Injured team and developed training videos for the rehabilitation staff.
Following this, Sarah gained experience with pediatrics, home health care, and sports medicine, while working for a South Jersey Hospital for five years. During those 5 years she ran an aquatic clinic for 2 years. Most recently, Sarah spent three years as director of a South Jersey orthopedic clinic.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, cycling, weight training and adventure traveling. She is also a certified SCUBA diver.
