Joe Grugan, PTA began his career with Excel Physical Therapy and Fitness in 1998 as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Excel’s Society Hill location. In 2005, Joe became the Clinical Manager of the Northeast location and was promoted to Clinical Manager of the Rothman Institute physical therapy clinic located in Center City Philadelphia in 2007. He was then promoted to Worker’s Compensation Program Manager of our Bensalem office in December, 2008.

Joe has an Associates Degree of Science from Harcum College, where he received the award for Clinical Excellence. Prior to joining Excel, Joe worked as a PTA at Pennsylvania Hospital in Center City Philadelphia, where he gained a great deal of experience in orthopedics, especially joint replacement surgery.

Joe has been married since August, 2003, and now enjoys spending time with his young son and two daughters. Outside of work and family time, Joe plays volleyball, basketball, and enjoys watching all sporting events on television. His true love is basketball, including coaching, which he was able to do for a short time. Joe hopes to fit basketball coaching back into his busy schedule someday soon.
