For Physicians
Working with our referral sources to ensure the best patient care is what we do best.
Excel’s advanced-certified and caring team of professionals works in cooperation with our referral sources to provide the best possible patient outcomes.
We never hesitate to call with questions or concerns about your patient – an exercise we deem vital to ensure the utmost quality of care..
Making a difference in the healthcare community.

We recognize the importance of developing relationships with our referral sources. That is why Excel collaborates with physicians for community seminars and screenings. We also assist with research projects.
We conduct a quarterly Journal Club for local physicians and healthcare providers. We also produce an online newsletter and welcome contributions from our referral sources.
If you would like to team up with Excel to provide the community with health seminars and screenings, or have any questions, please email us at info@excelphysicaltherapy.com. A physical therapist will be happy to reply.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
Q: Do you accept my patient’s insurance?
A: Your patient will be pre-approved prior to their first visit at Excel. If we cannot accept their insurance we will notify them immediately and recommend a reputable provider that does accept their insurance.
Q: Can a Licensed Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant write a prescription for physical therapy?
A: Yes, as of October, 2008 both providers are able to write scripts for PT in Pennsylvania.
Q: How will I be updated on my patient’s care?
A: Excel provides timely, easy to read, electronic documentation via email, fax or mail to your office. You will receive:
- Initial evaluations
- Progress reports (prior to your patients’ return visit to your office)
- Monthly re-evaluations
- Discharge notices
If your patient is a workers’ compensation case, then you will also receive a monthly Functional Progress Report. This report objectively compares your patient’s current functional ability to their actual job description.
