Mackenzie joined Excel Physical Therapy and Fitness in February 2011 as a staff physical therapist at Excel’s Center City location.
Mackenzie is originally from Virginia, where she attended the College of William and Mary and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During her time at William and Mary, she explored athletic training, physical therapy and therapeutic horseback riding. In 2010 Mackenzie graduated from the University of Delaware with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. It was here that she found her niche in treating orthopedic injuries, as well as furthered her interest in aquatic physical therapy and the use of animals for rehabilitation.
It is Mackenzie’s goal to provide individualized, high-quality care to all of her patients, with emphasis on overall wellness and knowledge that will allow her patients to maintain a pain-free, healthy lifestyle beyond the clinic. She would like to further her professional skills through continuing education on treatment of low back injuries, manual therapy, and vestibular rehabilitation. She would also like to pursue her Specialty Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
In her spare time, Mackenzie enjoys hiking with her dog, traveling, Pilates, the beach and spending quality time with family and friends.
