Jeff graduated summa cum laude from Thomas Jefferson University’s Physical Therapy Program in 1986. He founded the company in 1990 and presently owns Excel Physical Therapy & Fitness along with Joe Ruhl, PT, ATC. Jeff has an undergraduate degree in Biology form Juniata College, Huntingdon PA where he also earned three varsity letters in men’s basketball. Jeff currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the company. Prior to founding Excel Physical Therapy & Fitness, Jeff held positions at Temple University Hospital, home health care and private outpatient clinics. Jeff has presented at the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Private Practice Section Annual Conference on fitness services in PT practices and compensation plans for physical therapists. He also serves as Managing Editor of the APTA’s Private Practice Section magazine, Impact. He has advanced training in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation and sports performance enhancement for golfers. He is certified to conduct the Parisi Speed School, a nationally renowned youth sports performance enhancement program. He is certified in the Functional Movement Screen, (FMS) and is Direct Access Certified, permitting him to legally treat patients without a physician’s prescription. He also acquired a Russian Kettlebell Certification in 2010.
Jeff lives in Glen Mills, PA with his wife Peggy and two children, Curtis and Carly. He enjoys cycling, fitness, reading and is an avid NASCAR fan.
