Greg joined Excel Physical Therapy and Fitness in 2000 as a Physical Therapy Aide, while earning his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University (TJU). He received his MSPT in 2003 while finishing his Master’s project, which entailed research of the “Efficacy of Synvisc© injections on function for individuals with osteoarthritis of the knee”. Prior to TJU, Greg attended Franklin and Marshall College where he earned his BA in biology.
Before reuniting with Excel PT as a professional, Greg worked as a staff physical therapist at a busy outpatient orthopaedic clinic in Radnor, PA. He then joined Excel’s Glen Mills clinic, where he worked as a staff physical therapist until his promotion in 2006 to Clinic Manager. As the Clinic Manager of the Glen Mills clinic Greg treats a variety of orthopaedic injuries.
Greg’s chief interest is in the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral joints, especially the shoulder, knee, and ankle. He also appreciates treating the cervical and lumbar spine, focusing on core stability with a hands-on approach. He became certified in active release technique (ART) for the upper extremities and spine in February 2008 and became ART certified for the lower extremities in 2011. He is Direct Access certified, allowing him to legally treat patients without a physician’s prescription.
Greg has experience with treating high level athletes, and has co-developed a sports-specific training program ideal for injury prevention and maximizing performance levels. Greg and Campbell McCormack, MSPT, have implemented this program at Excel’s Glen Mills location. The focus is on strength, power, balance, and agility training, which is required by all athletes 12 and older and for any sport. The two have also developed an ACL injury prevention program, designed for individual or group (team) training.
In his spare time, Greg can always be found playing sports. He loves golf, baseball, softball, and football. For relaxation, Greg enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with his friends, dog and family.
