Cindy joined the Excel Physical Therapy and Fitness team in September, 2006 as a staff therapist at the Glen Mills facility.  She was promoted to Clinic Manager of our Phoenixville location in 2010.

In 1984, Cindy graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Chosen from among her classmates, she was given the opportunity to complete a residency program at Rancho Los Amigos in Los Angeles, California. In 1996, she completed a Master of Medical Science in Physical Therapy at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Cindy had clinical internships at the Atlanta Back Clinic and Physical Therapy Associates of Metro Atlanta. She graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Widner University in Philadelphia, PA in May 2008. She obtained her Specialty Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in June 2008. Cindy presented her poster on tendinitis of the common extensor tendons at the Annual Meeting for the American Physical Therapy Association in June 2008 in San Antonio, Texas. She has taken over 48 professional continuing education courses in orthopedic physical therapy, manual therapy, and management. She is certified in providing Functional Movement Screenings (FMS) and is also Direct Access certified permitting her to legally treat patients without a physician’s prescription. She became certified in Active Release Technique (ART) for the upper extremities in February 2010 and for the lower extremities in 2011.  Most recently, Cindy has chosen to excel in the treatment of vestibular problems and specializes in the treatment of dizziness, balance issues and vertigo as it relates to inner ear dysfunction.

Cindy’s clinical experience includes orthopedic outpatient physical therapy with an emphasis on post-injury and post-surgical rehabilitation, spinal rehabilitation, and manual therapy. She advanced from Staff PT to Clinic Director at Physiotherapy Associates in Conyers, GA, where she established new programs including an aquatics program, performed clinical training, in addition to management and therapy duties. While a Clinic Director for seven years, her clinic earned the Most Outstanding Clinic Award and Best Team Award from her company. She also received the President’s Club award for outstanding clinic performance for 2 years. She served as the clinic’s Medicare Documenter.

Cindy has delivered multiple professional presentations to physicians and industry on Cumulative Trauma Disorders. She has also been involved in research, lectures and symposia on a variety of topics. Cindy has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1984, and American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists since 2006. She brings 24 years of experience with her to Excel.
Her interests are taking walks with her husband, golfing and church activities. She volunteered to work as a physical therapist providing post-surgical rehabilitation in two medical missions to the underprivileged in Mexico. She volunteered as a physical therapist to work with lady professional golfers at the LPGA Dupont Golf Championship in Wilmington, DE in 2004.
