Brandi joined Excel Physical Therapy and Fitness in 2003 as a staff Physical Therapist at the Society Hill location. She was promoted to Clinical Manager of that clinic in 2006.
Brandi is a 2003 graduate of the Rutgers University Master of Physical Therapy program, where she was awarded the Rutgers Alumni Association Award for Graduate Student of the Year for academic excellence and leadership.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Fitness from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) in 1994, Brandi became a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In 2009, Brandi became certified in Functional Movement Screening. She received her certification in Active Release Technique (ART) in February 2010 and has taken many continuing education courses with an emphasis on spinal mobilization. She is Direct Access certified, and can legally treat patients without a prescription from a physician.
Brandi’s approach to physical therapy has been shaped by her previous experiences and educational background. At the collegiate level, she has worked in strength and conditioning and athletic training at such local universities as Princeton University, St. Joseph’s University, and Villanova University. While at Princeton, Brandi served as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach and designed training programs for varsity sports teams. Her time at St. Joseph’s was spent in the Sports Medicine department providing care to injured athletes, while her tenure at Villanova included experience in both strength/conditioning and athletic training.
Brandi’s clinical interests include orthopedic and sports physical therapy, injury prevention, wellness, and sports specific conditioning. In her free time, Brandi enjoys “The Flintstones,” and playing Frisbee with her Border Collie, Murphy.
